Hello and thank you for visiting Black Canyon Foods on-line!  Many of you are familiar with us because your friends or neighbors have recommended us to you (thanks!).
 
For those of you who are not familiar with us here's a quick description. We function much like a CSA, a cooperative and a small, home-town natural grocer. We raise or make some of the products ourselves, we buy from other small Colorado producers and for your convenience, we also carry some national brands that we really like and we offer bulk items! We think we bring together all the best aspects of a CSA, a cooperative and a small, home-town natural grocer and we hope you agree. You can set up a standing order that we bring to you every week or you can order as needed. We have a great selection of natural and organic items and we deliver right to your door!

We are pleased to bring you a healthy selection of items such as natural milk & cheese from Olathe; eggs from our backyard; soup from Crested Butte; Tortillas from Telluride; bread & bagels from Grand Junction; our very own beefalo & yak; other meats from Colorado include chicken, lamb, beef; we have organic yogurt; organic juice; and a large selection of many other items.
 
We are committed to our Eat Local! motto, but realize that not all items are available from Colorado. So, we do the next best thing...we buy as close to home as possible and/or we buy what's best. It's important to us to offer quality & value as well as a great selection. Whenever possible we offer organic, but sometimes a great Colorado product is natural. If so, we carry it!

1. REGISTER ON-LINE
  • Enter your contact and delivery information. No payment information will be collected from you at this time.
  • We encourage you to "opt in" for our newsletters & specials. We generally send one email each week letting you know that the shopping center has been updated and alerting you to new products and announcements. We try to include recipes, tips & other helpful information. We also use this email system to provide delivery updates or other important news. If you "opt out" you may miss some information that you want. This does not affect your ability to receive your statement via email.  
2. PLACE YOUR ORDER ON-LINE, BY PHONE OR EMAIL
  • Click here to visit the Delivery page for order deadlines and delivery schedule. If you miss the deadline we will contact you about delivering your order the following week. If you are cancelling for the week you may still get your delivery if you miss the deadline. 
  • Let us know your standing regular order. This is the order we will automatically deliver to you if we don't hear from you. This way you know you'll always get your staple items. Just don't forget to cancel if you're going to be gone.
  • You can cancel or change your order anytime.
  • You can add on to your standing order every week.
  • Note any special product or delivery instruction on checkout.
  • We request a small minimum order - Click here to check the Delivery page for your minimum, although we're sure you'll find lots of goodies that you want! A note about "items" - any item priced less than $2.50 does not count as "an item".

3. WE DELIVER YOUR ORDER TO YOU

  • Leave your cooler out the night before your delivery.
  • Put ice or blue blocks in your cooler to keep your goodies cold. 
  • Put your empty paper egg cartons in your cooler. We recycle them!
  • We will deliver to your work or a friend if that works best for you.
  • The delivery/fuel charge is small and used to help offset the cost of gas. Click here to visit the Delivery page for more information.

4. PAY FOR YOUR ORDER

  • Each week (generally over the weekend) you will receive your statement via email for that week's delivery.
  • If you don't have email, we can provide a paper statement in your cooler or via mail. In this case you may not receive a weekly statement.
  • Either mail in your payment or leave it in your cooler for us to pick up. We do not offer electronic payment processing at this time. If you leave a cash payment, please put it in an envelope marked with your name.
  • I'm sorry to have to add this info - view your statement for extra charges related to bounced checks and collections fees if you do not pay your account balance.
